IAM admins can't request group membership #682

As both an admin and user of an IAM instance, I seem to be unable to request group membership - I only see the option to add myself to a group (presumably this would bypass the approval of the group managers).

Could the "request group membership" functionlaity be made accessible from the Dashboard home page (/dashboard#!/home) for IAM admins?

Hi,

a "normal" user can request group membership by clicking on Join a group button on the user homepage. This request will be approved/rejected by the IAM administrator or group manager (if any). Differently, IAM administrators can add themselves or users to groups without requesting it. Approval by possible group managers is bypassed because IAM admins have more privileges.
