Feature Request: make debug #14

It would be nice if the Makefile had a target debug that performed a build with the following changes:

No optimizations
Generates debugger symbol files
Enables -Wall and -Werror

Cleaning up the code to actually build under this new target is not required. This is a target for making sure the code is very clean, and eventually (once it builds) making it easier for Linux contributors to debug their work.
