Sprinkler UI queries #60

I’m curious as to if this is intended behaviour. I have a simple sprinkler in the wife’s veggie garden just to keep things moist if we’re away. It’s connected to a simple actuator and relay that shows up as an on/off switch in indigo. If I set it up as a sprinkler type device in HKB in the home app it shows up correctly but there’s no option to turn it on or off, but will work via Siri and Eve. Is this expected behaviour in the Home app?

It may be that Home doesn’t fully implement it. I’ve noticed several devices, the ones listed as 3rd Party Only, don’t work at all in Home but work in Eve. Others may gain functionality. I didn’t know that about irrigation that it would turn on and off, I figured I would have to wait for the complications before that happens but it makes perfect sense because it makes use of the “Active” characteristic, which is the same that several devices use to turn on and off because it’s a read/write characteristic. Interesting that Siri can handle it but Home doesn’t, I’ll have to play with that.
