Mayavi doesn't seem to be packaged at all on arch anymore and I tried doing a pip install but that failed too. This ports the few remaining uses of mayavi from the codebase instead.
I also updated the pkdo-2d.png in the docs, but couldn't get matplotlib to be as nice as mayavi at the rendering.
