Before the release of DESDEO 2.0, we need the following DevOps to ensure a smooth(er) continuation of the project.

DESDEO 2.0 DevOps checklist

[ ] Set up pre-commit hooks:
- [ ] Ruff checks (at least!)
- [ ] (optional) typing checks if users' sanity can be preserved
[ ] Configure PR checks:
- [ ] Run unit tests
- [ ] Verify successful documentation build

Users working on this issue will be listed next to the relevant item. The list will be updated as needed.
