Make pthreads compilation configurable again #20

Pthreads is enabled by default at the moment to make it easier to shuffle 
around the storage code 
without confusing users.

It would be nice to make the libasyncio/ compilation optional, along with the 
configure.in 
"with_pthreads" option.
