Will be done by using our own library, which gives us the ability to easily customize the routine for external providers (OAuth, Authkey ..)

Considering Ion Auth is a possible (good) solution because it is very flexible. Anyhow the hashing (PHPass) as well as the MY_Controller would be needed to be customized.
