Intermission #104

I'd like to suggest the following 2 things to be added to the intermission:

At the intermission: Show a GUI with detailed stats for every player and for the entire game (flags, captures, a supercool feature would be graphs that showed amount of kills on a time scale for example :D ) PLUS, and this is the important part: a voting screen, where players can easily select what mode/map they wanna play next. Servers should be able to toggle this voting system off; for example vaQ'4 - Venice wouldn't need it. People playing mixes/clanwars also do not necessarily need it, because they just chat what they wanna play next, but especially new players who are playing on servers other than Demophobia/ogros/psl.sauerleague.org 10000 would benefit from this system, because they are used to it from other games. This entire GUI should be able to be X'ed away of course, to make way for the 2nd suggestion:

idea from Team Fortress 2 Make the winning player or players invincible; add a blueish glow around them; allow them to move like before the intermission; remove all ammo from the losing player(s); disallow them to do any damage; reduce their walking speed by 50%; don't let them spawn after they have been killed by the superhero-filled winning team. Slaughtering the enemies who you have just beaten is a very satisfying thing to do, TF2 players will understand this :)

The time the intermission takes should be adjusted too; maybe it just shouldn't stop untill enough people have voted or the master starts another match. Atleast make it longer; the default intermission time feels too short.

The communication between the server and the client will be getting improved in a lot of ways. One goal should it be to allow any kind of votings, means not only of a predefined range, but the server should be able to send any question + a few voting possibilites.

I agree with you, that the intermission time is a bit too short. However I'm not sure if such a kill-them-all thing would fit in the gameplay.
