• [x] Replace call of std::abort with return 1 in exception handlers.
• [x] Add comment about missing layers or extensions not being an error.

• [x] Switch to VK_API_VERSION_1_2 EDIT 1: Not yet supported on my very old GTX 660M. I will get a new machine next year. EDIT 2: Thanks to @yeetari I could fix my Ubuntu 20.04 LTS driver by doing sudo apt install nvidia-driver-470.
