Hi Jie,
Thanks for your email. We are definitely interested in working with OBI to align these terms, although they should be fairly well (completely) aligned already, as we worked very closely with Bjoern and Alan during the original IDO development when these terms were defined. In any case, we are happy to take whatever additional steps are necessary. Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
Thanks,
Lindsay

OBI contains some infection related terms like: infection process (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/OBI_1110021) disposition to infect an organism (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/OBI_1110093)
It might be related to or same as the IDO infection related terms, such as: infection (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/IDO_0000586) infectious disposition (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/IDO_0000452) infectious disease course (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/IDO_0000495)
Are IDO developers interested in working with OBIers to align these terms?

Ps. Regarding the specific OBI tracker item, Alan emailed me about this some time ago. I tried to respond on the tracker but couldn’t because I don’t have posting permissions for the OBI list. I responded by way of email to Alan and asked him to respond on the tracker for me. The response was basically that IDO has a material entity AND a process. The process is “process of establishing an infection” (IDO_0000603). We could add a term for downstream processes if there is a need.
Thanks,
Lindsay

Thanks Lindsay for your quick response. OBIers will check what infection related terms are in OBI and find a time to discuss it in the OBI call when you can join.
ps: if you have sourceforge account, you can send it to me. So, I can grant the OBI tracker post permission to you.
Hi Jie,
Sorry for the slow response. I had to re-activiate my source forge account because it was still linked to my old Duke email address. Anyway, it is all set up now. My user name is lgcowell. If you could that to the OBI list as you mention below that would be great.
Thanks,
Lindsay
