Audio Breaks in the Nether with to many Moths #425

Describe the Bug

Please remove audio from the moths or severely delay when they make noise, When like 10-15 of them are in a single area, the audio starts to break and audio events stop triggering for basic minecraft actions, such as taking damage and walking/jumping on items, swinging sword. Everytime I have used this mod it has broken the audio in the nether. The only way to reset the audio is to leave the nether and then to return, or to kill enough entities so that the audio cues are not lost.

Reproduction Steps

1.Generate Survival World 2.Enter Nether 3.Spawn 10-15 Moths, or find a naturally spawning cluster 4.Walk around/do minecraft actions, such as swing a sword, jump, take damage. 5.Notice that audio cues skip then audio cues remain broken.

Killing some of the moths will return the auio.

Expected Result

Having this mod installed should not break other Minecraft audio cues inside of the nether.

I believe this is likely caused by the audio files for mob sounds being stereo when they should be mono. This has since been fixed and the fix will come out in the next update. I'll leave this open until I confirm that the issue is caused by the stereo sound files.

I don't think it's just moths. I was looking for a solution for more than a day and then I realized that this bug occurs for everyone who has that mod. Temporarily disabled the spawning of all mobs from this mod and this fixed the problem. Hope this gets fixed.

ive seen this before, but with many other sounds also
