to my understanding the point of the feature is so the player drops their experience (at least some of it) on death but can get to keep their items. i tested the feature with keepInventory both on and off, and while it was off the experience dropping worked just fine although it still dropped my items, but with keepInv on not even my experience dropped.
minecraft version: 1.19.2
forge version: 43.3.5
sortilege death config is specifically set to "self_ratio" of 0.1, "attacker_ratio" of 0, and "drop_ratio" of 9.
