@reynard80 have you tried to install the "ath10k-firmware-qca988x" as recommended in the OpenWrt wiki about this device ? (https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer-c5-c7-wdr7500)
After installing everything seems fine, except 5ghz which is not working at all. Probably because of this root@Cottonmouth:/etc/config# opkg upgrade kmod-ath10k Upgrading kmod-ath10k on root from 4.9.102+2017-11-01-9 to 4.14.82+4.19-rc5-1-1... Do a sysupgrade with latest image (with updated kernel), then you will be able to install that package. Snapshot packages (especially kernel modules) are only built against latest dependencies, and there is no archive for previous versions.
Hello,
Although this optimized firmware is running rather well, the 5GHz range is rather disappointing. I saw that the firmware that is used is quite old, would it helpt if it was upgraded? For example, it seems there is newer firmware available here.
Is there anything else I can do to improve the 5GHz range?
