Pouring milk from a packet or changing a diaper may seem like mundane activities, but when visually presented on paper in step-by-step diagrams, they take on unusual lives of their own. In this assignment you will create a wordless diagram(s) to instruct how to perform an activity that is made of discreet steps, such putting something together or doing something. The objective of this assignment is to understand how humans produce and use visual instructions.

Specifically the assignment requires: Planning: Most tasks can be done in a variety of ways. The challenge is to choose a sequence of operations that will be easy for users to understand and follow. Presentation: There are many ways to depict the operations. The challenge is to convey the steps of the operations clearly in a series of diagrams.

STAGES

Select a task or operation you want to depict
Sketch at least five alternative visual style, layout & sequence of visuals for the selected task/operation
Create a full-size pencil rough showing all information for the selected presentation
Compose final sequence to create a poster, full color or mock up of fold if user manual

Add a comment and keep updating the progress of your work within the same comment.
