CoilCooling and CoilHeating - Capacity curves for E+ #185

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What SDD Object:Property(s) are relevant to this issue?
WSHP Heating and Cooling Capacity Performance curves

Explanation of addition, revision, or clarification:
In anticipation of the utilizing the E+ EquationFit objects for Water-to-Air
Heat Pumps, need to expand the performance curve types to support the following
curves

CurveDoubleLinear (CrvDblLin): for DOE-2 WSHP heating cap/eir curves)
CurveQuadrupleLinear (CrvQuadplLin): For E+ heating/clg capacity curves
CurveQuintupleLinear (CrvQuintplLin): For E+ sensible clg capacity curve

These are all linear equations with 2, 4, and 5 independent variables,
respectively.
Max/min variable properties, simular to other curves, would also be included in
new objects.

Proposed resolution:
Add the above additional curve objects and related properties. Appreciate
feedback by 9am next Tues.

Please provide any additional information below.

Haven't gotten any additional input, so will plan on adding these additional
curve types to the SDD Update list later today.

CrvQuadplLin & CrvQuintplLin have been added to SDD. Did not add CrvDblLin to
SDD Master update list (can't recall why), but will do so when implementing
WSHPs, which is now being tracked as a separate task. Closing issue.

Revising status to leave it open for tracking purposes.

One thing Scott noted was the addition of Quintpl and Quadpl to the SDD
abbreviations list. Diane/Rob, can you do this?

Revising the ownership of this to me so we can track the other component, which
is to add to BEMBase.

Revising to low priority until we support WSHPs

Raising the priority here since we are working on WLHPs for v3.

Roger, we could start with the translator putting in hard values for the
EquationFit object curves. However, I suggest that we describe this
information as new SDD curve objects referenced by the CoilClg/CoilHtg SDD
objects. This would make it consistent with how our general approach for curve
data. I think I even have these curves described in the curve library
workbook.

Closing this issue, as at least for the near future, WSHP curves are built into
the OS translator.
