The idea is to only have the themes-gnap.sln, that's why the package references were pointing to the wrong place, they originate from a packages folder in the root.
I removed the extra sln for the exampleserver and updates themes-gnap.sln, the only needed thing is to set None as build action for all the web stuff.
Versions
I updated Newtonsoft.Json and System.Web.Cors to the latest.
Publish profiles
I removed them from the sln, just to provide accidents, they are in gitignore too. You'd be surprised how many people check in files with credentials to GitHub :)
