widechar support breaks input on TinyMUX #58

Open wedgemartin opened 2 years ago

wedgemartin commented 2 years ago

Discovered on MUX 2.10.1.14 with 5.1.0, 5.1.1, 5.1.2, and 5.1.3. Other MU*s work fine. To have it work with MUX you have to compile with --disable-widechar You can see banners, what people are saying etc, but no input to the MUX works

You should give my version a try, I didn't have any issue on the MUX I tried, though there's plenty that is possible. I know this fork has used some of my patches for widechar problems, but I'm not sure that it has everything. It might already be fixed in here, in which case shouldn't be too difficult to figure out making a patch.

@wedgemartin What mud your trying to connect..

I have just tried few MUX (even the ones having 2.10.1.14) and all except 1 are working fine.. The one thats not is sundive.dyndns.org 4202

I would actually would be cool to find what may be missing.. You can try version linked by @warmstarter if it will work will be easier to find probably..

Funny you mention it..

So teh thing that may be different about that MUX (the one I am on) is that it’s an nginx server set up in front terminating SSL. I could connect just fine, see the banner etc, but it wouldn’t take any input even though packets were being delivered (iirc)

I've played a bit with stunnel for the front terminating SSL, and definitely had some weirdness with it, and not just on tinyfugue. I'm assuming this is your server also?

Here's the stunnel I've tried before:
