Connector request: Easyvoip.com #411

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Ok... I just did something really dumb. I just payed €10 for some SMS credit
at Easyvoip.com for use with WebSMS. I was in the assumption this provider was
supported by the Betamax connector, since Easyvoip was listed in a Betamax
rates comparison table. Sadly, I received an error message when I tried to send
a SMS.
I found out that the Betamax connector sends texts via URIs to supported
providers. It seems however Easyvoip.com does not support URIs for sending text
messages and therefore is not supported by the connector.

However, it should be possible to build a connector for this provider, since
texts can be send via a web page. Do you have some spare time to help me out by
building a connector for Easyvoip.com? Please find the attached screen shots
and site source.

It seems they are using some kind of url rewriting, so the complete URL have no
response.

My provider (rynga) have a similar form to manual send sms from their site, and
below the form, it have a text saying:
"Do you want to send a text message (SMS)
using html or the Rynga software?
And it sends me to:
http://www.rynga.com/en/sms_instructions.html

Is there some instructions like this in easyvoip?

I finally found it: https://www.easyvoip.com/sms/instructions
It seems they should support HTML SMSlinks as well. However I tried sending a
filled in link, but it does not seem to work...

I have made a support ticket at EasyVoip, but have not received any answer from
them. I just hope they do not ignore me. Maybe it is idea to inform users of
the Betamax connector which providers are not functional.

I will keep you informed.

any updates?

They have responded to one of my tickets. However I was not able to reply
because of a bug on their site. I am getting session timeouts constantly. I
made a new ticket. So far I did not receive a reply, which is not unusual for
them. What an horrible service... I will spam them until this issue is fixed.

Same here... :( Is there any hope for a solution? I'm using voipbuster which
works fine, but easyvoip gives problems in all sms apps...

This is because they have removed the HTML SMSLink, that is used for the apps,
but they are still publishing instructions about the SMSLink in
https://www.easyvoip.com/sms/instructions

They should fix this problem if their clients ask for it. They are publishing
something in their page, but they aren't doing it.

Thanks for the tip. Works very well with voipgain.com. Jumblo has a bug where
sender ID is username while easyvoip is still not working as of today Feb 5th,
2011.

Unfortunately they have also removed the instructions about the SMSLink now.

I suggest adding a list of unsupported Betamax providers to the market
description of the Betamax connector.

I will deplete my EasyVoiP credit with VoiP calls when I am on holiday abroad.
And that will be the last thing they will ever hear from me.

Ok. Some other provider in addition to easyvoip ?

I've tested Voipcaptain. WebSMS can't even connect to Voipcaptain in order to
fetch balance.
I think that the rest of new Dellmont services
(http://progx.ch/home-voip-prixbetamax-5-1-2.html) following EasyVoip won't
work in WebSMS Betamax Connector
