a few month ago, an other user had this problem.
he used a backup of the settings from an old android version for the install on
the new android with some kind of backup/restore app.
for him uninstall+install (from market) helped.
please try it. and if settings are gone again, please send me the logs of your
device directly after starting smsdroid.

I have the same Problem on Samsung Galaxy S Darkys Rom 9.2
Every time i reboot, the settings are gone, and sometimes randomly without
rebooting too.
I tried to uninstall from Adroid market and then install again, but the problem
remains.
What can i do?

Issue 472 has been merged into this issue.

Seems, like this one is not that common.
I could reproduce the issue by killing SMSDroid via task manager now too.
It seems, like the app doesn't write the settings to sd at all - that's my
impression.
I checked the /data/data/de.ub0r.android.smsdroid/ folder and its subfolder
databases, and there is only a file named spamlist.
When I try to log it sais: Unable to open log device '/dev/log/main'.

For me worked this:
-Delete the "de.ub0r.android.smsdroid"-folder in
/dbdata/databases
-Restart
Hope this works for you, too ;)
