Adapt Colums/Lines when switching from Portrait to Landscape #168

Hi

I'm using ADW Launcher with this config : Portait mode = 4 colums / 5 Lines
screen => http://shko.free.fr/screens/SGS/ADWL1.png

When my phone switches to landscape mode : it stays at 4C/5L and then icons are
overlapping.
screen 2 => http://shko.free.fr/screens/SGS/ADWL3.png

I know i can enable "auto size icon" to fix this bug.
But when i do that : text/legend disappears.
screen 3 => http://shko.free.fr/screens/SGS/ADWL2.png

So this my request :add an option to allow ADW launcher to inverse colums and
lines setting when switching from portrait to landscape mode (4C/5L portrait =>
5C/4L landscape).

Thx

The only problem I see with this is widgets that take up more than one space,
such as the Google Search bar which is a 4x1 widget. Unless the widget turned
sideways to fit the new landscape layout, it would not fit correctly on the
screen. If you only have icons and 1x1 widgets, it's no big deal to rotate
them, but any widget over 1x1 in size might have a problem.

Could you provide:
1. Version of Android you're running
2. Version of ADW
3. Phone

Would it be possible to simply have the option to specify landscape and
portrait modes separately? So you can define 4x5 and 5x4, but then you can also
reposition or even pick different widgets for each mode - while the option for
separate landscape and portrait modes is turned on, changes made in one
orientation would not affect the other.

This would be particularly handy for widescreen resolutions, like the Galaxy
Tab.

I am to redesing my homescreen in a Phone 7 style (using
Desktop visualizer), but it is just ugly in landscape mode. Actually the 4C/5L
portrait to 5C/4L landscape change is not enough, it needs 7C/4L landscape to
fill the space corretly. (the aspect ratio changes due the notification bar
repositioning).
So let me join to alexvallat, and vote for an option to set up landscape layout
independently.

THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN!

I get my layout laid out perfectly in portrait and it looks horrid in
landscape; laid out perfectly in landscape and it looks horrid in portrait --
having the option to set diffrent layouts that switch as per rotation would be
very very very awesome.

+1 for separate layouts in portrait and landscape modes. That would be
especially good for tablet-size phones like Dell Streak, and Galaxy Note
