7 years ago Features for better task list editing is indeed good to have. I'm often using tasks, too.
BTW, Inkdrop has also consolidated task management feature: http://doc.inkdrop.info/manual/managing-tasks-with-status You can set a note as "completed" status when its tasks have been completed. It will hide notes with completed status, so you can find available tasks easily.

As I make notes I quite often add tasks to my notes to come back to later. Currently if I want to keep on top of these tasks I have to search my notes and remember where they are. It would be great if these could be consolidated into one task list.
I think there are a few things that could be done to make this happen:
[x] Better control of task markdown syntax with the addition of this to the toolbar and ability to check un-check the checkbox in the preview/view screen. Also, on pressing return automatically display the next task checkbox on the newline. Similar to bullet points.
[ ] A plugin which syncs all task markdowns (and their status) with an external task management tool like Asana or Trello.
[ ] In the future this task management view could be added to the actual inkdrop interface to save going into an external tool.
