GitHub links, if they are also pointing to GitHub, don't need to be prefixed with https://github.com/, I've decided to truncate some of the links.

Oh nice, I thought we tried this when we first wrote it. Anyway it works now and that’s much nicer, thanks!

Wait; doesn’t this mean the offline version of the doc will no longer have working links? Eg the one built into inky?

well, if the docs already are local, then there's no problem.
