[REQUEST] Capability to modify HUD/on-screen weapon assets #68

Currently, it (is or appears to be) impossible to modify the heads-up display assets (like the background, buttons, etc) or the on-screen weapon assets when equipped (you know, the thing that shows your gun's tip when you're holding it?) in HackEd; you have to use the legacy inkyblackness utilities to achieve that. It would be fantastic if such functionality was directly incorporated into HackEd.

Also, on another note, I'd like to second the idea of #41 as an option (at minimum for textures/bitmaps). Having a SLADE-esque interface integrated to be able to directly modify & import/export whatever resource assets are needed (even with a lack of insurance) would be invaluable to a determined (and maybe unorthodox) modder.

Thank you for the work you do on these utilities (they're carrying the entire System Shock modding community).

Thank you for bringing this up and also mentioning the generic approach. This could be a good addition in the current state - if no specific editor window is available, at least someone could import/export raw things.
