Proposal to establish a "practical and minimal nomenclature" for TWederation. "Practical" because... well, we need it. For example we don't want to see terms like "sender" which is misleading and confusing (it is not about sending but fetching). With "practical" I also mean it does not have to be strict definitions. "Minimal" because users should need to learn as few new terms as possible.
By using this nomenclature in docs, discussions and UI's we should simplify the establishment of the TWederation. Please object/change/add/...
Publish/-ing/-er - creating a tiddler that is possible to fetch. (Does that mean all public tiddlers?)
Fetch/-ing/-er - the act of getting tiddlers from a remote TW. (
The term "subscribe/-er" has been mentioned elsewhere but I think this is also misleading unless we introduce //automatic// fetching.)
TWederation - "TiddlyWiki Federation", the network of communicating autonomous TiddlyWikis (see Wikipeida here and here )
"tiddly card" - proposal for how to pronouncetwCard. ("wiki card" sounds like it's wiki-specific, and "tiddlywiki-card" is too difficult to pronounce).
