At the moment it's quite obscure.

I agree. I can only comment about the GHC side (are there known bugs, is GHCJS supported, etc.) but not really about the Cardano side: what are our requirements (JS backend support, HLS support, stack support...), dependencies, etc.

People participating to the "ghc-next-2022" task force are probably in a better position to make a decision now.
