I'm madding my own visual novel in french (and some early translation project) and I can't really say when it appear but sometime words are cut unnaturally in the middle in UTF-8. I think it's the same problem (or linked) with the issue of the resume menu a little bit in right.

Maybe it's not that and honestly i don't really understand the windows system but in a complete project I see the same problem in UTF-8 mode.

If it’s possible, can you try to narrow down exactly when it happens? Take screenshots for me and post them here if you can.
