Can I get confirmation: should "HDCP Off" be persistent, or is it an "every time, turn it off" deal? #7

I keep hearing mixed item, but my experience has been that...

Flash the hardware (per the guide)
Select "HDCP Off"
Works as expected
Shut down the computer / break the connection
Attempt again, HDCP is back on
Select "Open Device" - "HDCP Off"
Works as expected

Should I be needing to run this each time? I'm hearing people don't have this concern. A yes/no would be appreciated, @insidetheshadow. Thank you for your hard work, but I'm 100% confused.

On MacOS, after having flashed the FW, HDCP is bypassed for HDMI passthrough to a monitor across reboots. So the HDCP bypass is persistent for that.

However when interfacing with the ShadowCast 2 Pro via MacOS as a webcam, you need to use the tool to disable HDCP each time. It would be idea to not have to do this, but I'm not aware of the implementation details.
