ChimeraX? #2

Hello, I was wondering if this works for ChimeraX, the predecessor for Chimera, as well? If so, is the installation method the same?

I'm afraid it's Chimera "classic" only. That said, most of the work is defining the polygons and residue dictionaries, so porting it to X should be easy provided there are primitives to draw the same 3D objects there.

In the ChimeraX Support archives, Elaine Meng, a specialist in RVBI for Chimera/Xmentioned something about turning filled rings on or off in this message

Would this relate? Are there any plans by Insilichem to develop this port for 3D SNFG/Tangram Suite?

I'm no longer part of the lab so no idea. I haven't seen much movement here lately, but let's cc @JeanDidier and see if there's any updates.

It does look like ChimeraX has support for BILD shapes, which is what we are mostly using here. But you'll also need to figure out the new syntax to select residues and so on. I'd say it's feasible but not trivial.
