It seems possible. I think it should be included in "Replace Rebranding of X".

You can probably hack around the specific way twitter.com currently redirects you to x.com, but that's not going to be viable long-term, similar to the way there used to be hacks to use the old version of Tweetdeck when they started rolling the new one out.

While we're at it, replace the url to twitter.com in permalinks on tweets as well.
