Another error handling line for the backend.rb file, better error output and json logging

Description

Edits requested by the SAP MCDevSecOps for better error output, especially for the JSON logs we collect.

Issues Resolved

This edit is working with the previous PR that was submitted and merged for error handling #851 and allows us to better log and read the error output which is generated from controls where errors such as NoSuchEndpoint and InvalidClientTokenId, so that we can better monitor and analyze results in our database.
