The validation can only be done knowing the Discovery Scenario chosen when registering the service in the INSPIRE Geoportal.

Proposed Resolution

1) First check whether the operation constraint called ôFederatedCatalogues" is present in the Discovery Service's GetCapabilities document. XPath: "/ows:OperationsMetadata/ows:Constraint[@name='FederatedCatalogues']" 2) Then, check whether "/ows:OperationsMetadata/ows:Constraint/ows:Value" contains the URL of the federated Discovery Service.

Also, add A.2.6 as prerequisite if issues on A.2.6 (issue #39) can be resolved (step 1 can then be removed)

Federated option will be removed, as discussed during the MIWP-5 meeting on 2016-04-28
