mmh, another point. so in the TeX source the key is a ADS bibcode, but in the returned bibtex it is the Inspire texkey
that means the user then has to either go and replace all their bibcodes in the TeX source or all the texkeys in the bibtex that are for cited bibcodes
this is also true for \cite{eprint}
etc. I think it would be a useful refinement to either substitute the bibtex key with the actual citation key, or at least add it as a comment to easily switch
merged with some minor updates
