The provided logcat has no usable info about the usb host functionality.
Not all HTC phones support USB host function, and as I know they need external
power (powered HUB) and some hacks. Please try to search xda forums maybe there
is some info about USB host on Desire S (like this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1887073 )
If the Android device does not support or does not include the USB host
functionality I can't help. :(

Thanks for your help

But it did not compile custom ROM's, so wait until it is solved.

d7000 shouldn't be the issue. d7000 works fine for me on nexus 7 4.2.1.

Sorry for late answer but I missed this. D7000 should work with note2 and SG4
to as far as I know with the stock firmware. Did you used and OTG cable? Can
you try with a different OTG cable?

You must use the lastest ddserver OpenWrt V0.12 firmware. If you have an older
you must update it.
You can download the latest one here: http://dslrdashboard.info/?page_id=48
Information how to update: http://dslrdashboard.info/?page_id=108
