These are the first steps, right now the only change is that minimal doesn't install steam.
If checkboxes is implemented to imenu then this simple two-ways selection can be changed to a list of packages to select.
PD: I'm not sure what packages can be unselected for the minimal option, a list or recommendation can be very good.
