How do I check with Inspect elements that the js file is being utilized?

JaJuMa commented 3 years ago

You may check the video here showing how the preloading works: https://www.jajuma.de/en/jajuma-develop/extensions/page-preload-extension-for-magento-2 It's for Magento but looks the same on any site.

niccoX commented 3 years ago

Doesn't show on any of those links nor on my site.

Works just fine. Clearly user error.

Yes, it works just fine. Your confirmation is wrong!

Go to https://instant.page/, open the Network tab in the Web Developer Tools and hover the menu links on the right side:

grafik

You see that the pages are preloaded without any clicks. The initiator is the instant.page script (see column "Initiator").

How do you know that my confirmation is wrong, did you check if it works on my site? No you didn't.

He means, this is an issue with your site or setup. Your comments inferred the project was "rubbish".

Given it has been starred over 5.4k, that only confirms it is not this script but either your understanding or technical skills in using it.

It is rubbish. First, the dev is not present. Check that first before calling for the thread to be closed. Second, you are not moderators, if it doesn't work on my site, means I asked the dev to support me. Why asking to close the thread since there has been no support given yet. Third, if you two had done your investigation, the script is not working on any site the dev has linked to. But yea it has to be my inferior skills since all the fanboys which ain't hanging around here have voted this project up.

If you say so.

Works on the creators own site, the WordPress plugin works on a few sites I've tested it against and the manual install from this git repo works on a non-WordPress site.

Seems you're the only one getting cranky it isn't working for you.
