Its not unusual for there to be various spreadsheets that need to be imported into a collection. Sometimes depending on the source, there are unsupposed characters or other issues that are difficult to find in the source data.
I'd expect: that the import wizare will try to identify these as unsupported charters. Also that if the import wizard fails, it reports the row that it failed on to help with self-service.
Currently: a user has to carryout sometimes very time consuming data handling operations.
