Random flickering attacks us again. #51

Hey, Once again I see some random flickering similar to the reported one from a year ago. Here's a video for reference: https://youtu.be/_JTSyRsTVWs

Can you remember what issue number (under closed) it was? And the latest version you know since with the problem not there?

I remember Retail wow forced me to slightly delay color updating when "color border only" was enabled since default Blizzard UI scripts otherwise would override my colors shortly after, maybe that delay also happens without "color border only" enabled.

It was "ResetFrame too often #37"

Now the flickering seems to happen in longer intervals but it's still makes it unplayable.

I know that since you fixed the issue back then it worked perfectly fine untill the end of dragonflight. I remember it worked just fine in the last season. This bug occurs since I resubbed to the new expansion.

Hmm maybe there are more situations now with healthdirty flag being set now by Blizzard or other situations I must hook where they recolor border/health (below is just latest PTR blizzard ui script) does it happen only in retail or classic/cata also?

Also do you have a screenshot from the addon options screen? Maybe that helps isolate where the bug is.

Thanks, that does narrow it down a bit still :) been some busy weeks IRL so no promises when I get to reproduce and fix the issue - does it also happen e.g. when you are playing solo or with a pet?

Hmm if it requires a second player to reproduce the issue, I might need testing help from a VERY patient soul (online around 18:00-23:00 cet or earlier on weekends). Here is my suggestion: https://launch.battle.net/invite/Z9MEVn0Cq9O

Above is a link to a Blizzard group I made for NamePlatesThreat testing. If someone with a lot of patience wants to help test script changes, go there for an invite and we should be able to chat much easier.

Then we could meet up on the 11.0.5 PTR server (realm Fyrakk) if you can install that (since I don't have a WoW subscription anymore) just running around two players in a PTR group outside dungeons should be enough to test flickering nameplates/etc.
