This is a good question!
This repo still belongs to the Informatics Lab org, which I am no longer a member of. Therefore it has technically been inherited by @tam203, @DPeterK, @kaedonkers and others. Lucky them!
This also means I no longer have contributor rights to the project.
So I guess this is a wider question. Does the lab want it? Would anyone else be interested in helping with it? Should it be moved elsewhere?
cc @jorisvandenbossche @martindurant
Of course the intake org would be happy to host (or fork), as a backup, to keep contributions going, and I'd be happy to add people. If i-lab are still interested, though, I am also happy to leave it here, assuming ongoing activity. Perhaps the people tagged above can consider adding some external collaborators.
Thanks @martindurant I think the intake org sounds like a good home for it if the Lab are happy with that.
It still raises the question about who will maintain it. Sadly this is out of scope for me now. Is this something the intake org maintainers would be happy with? Plus @ian-r-rose?
I don't think the lab is likely to maintain this. If moving it to intake helps maintain I'm sure we'd be happy to do so but in the mean time I'm more than happy to add external contributers.
Thanks @tam203! In that case I suggest we move it to intake. Can you do the transfer?
@jacobtomlinson @martindurant I tried to transfer this morning but got
Which makes sense.
Happy to do this but I guess I need permissions.
Cheers.
@tam203 , you have temporary permissions to the intake org.
Moving repository to intake/intake_geopandas. This may take a few minutes.
@intake enjoy!
@martindurant you cant revoke my access now (though perhaps check it's move successfully first).
@martindurant actually I'll leave with you to close in case you have other admin to sort out on it.
Thanks @tam203!
And thanks @martindurant for taking this on.
You have all been added as collaborators
@martindurant can you also add me as a collaborator?
I did, but I am now blaming github; did it again :)
Thanks, got it this time!
Hi @jacobtomlinson, do you have plans for this repo? I suspect you probably have less time to maintain it -- do you need any help with that?
