are you the guy whos bukkit thread i commented on the other day?

intangir commented 10 years ago

or are there three practically identical mods ;)

trichner commented 10 years ago

Kind of. I'm not the maintainer, I'm the actual dev. There is a newer cleaner version of my plugin than the one on bukkitdev. So we now have like three versions xD. Am 04.05.2014 22:17 schrieb "Intangir" notifications@github.com:

we should cherry pick all of our best functionality into one version maybe

mine is basically beacons only, i was going to add chat channels

mine also lets you tune from tower to tower, points the compass arrow toward them, its to help people find fun land marks in huge areas

when you tune into one it tells you the message on the sign

i had a plan to make relay nodes also but it seemed to be unnecessary so i never did it, and i never finished the chat thing either, although i don't think it would be very hard at all

My plugin was made specifically for the vaast.org servers. It has channels, triangulation with radio, dedicated item (if you use a colored name), physically correct signal attenuation, redstone triggered on/off state and more.

I won't change anything except for exploits/severe bugs since I have some other plugins that need my attention, but you are welcome to cherry pick whatever code you need. I recently cleaned up my code a bit, so it should be human readable now.

Actually, dev.bukkit always has the newest version that has a GitHub release. I do take maintaining seriously.

Also there's three, since there's still RadioBeacon.
