The Ikonoshirt_CustomAdminNotifications is logging messages to the system.log file.
See Ikonoshirt_CustomAdminNotifications_Model_Feed::checkUpdate()

in line 31:

Mage::log('Ikonoshirt_CustomAdminNotifications: No feeds found.');

Hi @Vinai, we are currently doing a major refactoring / rewrite. Those issues are / will be fixed there. Thanks for reporting anyway :-)
