Rams, were these alerts a part of what you had modified?
The issue was because of the database schema change. This has been updated in the defaults so new installs should be good. But the upgrade is still not setup. @naveen-fractlio this database schema change should reflect in the upgrade script too.
We are able to receive Email alerts for Volumes, shares creation and Quota modifications. Testing services, reboot and system error related Email alerts.
For some reason, we are just not able to receive alerts in emails.
Its fixed under tag g1.1.1.rc1
Its verified under tag g1.1.1.rc2
Server IP address showing working its showing gateway IP address for alerts.
Could you clarfiy this a bit Raju, I did not understand.. Are you receiving any email alerts? If so, is there a problem with the content? If so, could you attach one of the faulty emails on this bug?
I have configured email alert in GRIDCell Primary(192.168.1.201) and testing same, but receiving alerts from 192.168.1.5.
Unable to reproduce this scenario. @gattupally Can you give us the steps to reproduce ?
@ramaseshan I am creating volumes and CIFS share etc in primary node 192.168.1.201 but in mail it is showing 192.168.1.5 it should come 192.168.1.201 primary only since i am configuring in same.
Just spoke with Raju about this - since he is coming from a 0 series IP which then eventually comes to 201 through the 1.5 gateway, he is able to see this. Since you are already on the 1 series, you wont be able to reproduce it from your laptop. So either switch to a 0 series IP or ask Raju to help reproduce it.
@fractalram Actually when we were testing this yesterday, I suppose @gattupally was in 1 series of the IP and not in 0. So that might not be the case.
That sounds very strange! If thats the case, you should be able to reproduce it even today. Can you try from Raju's laptop to see if you can reproduce it?
Configuration of the Email alerts is good, but not receiving alerts for Volumes, shares creation and Quota modifications, Volumes stop and start, Services stop and start, Secondary node reboot and System errors.
