When you use the Checklist markdown in the description field of a GitHub Issue, on teams they appear as an unordered list. As-Is, I have no idea on the progress team members are making on their work without looking in GitHub.
A good fix would be to represent the current state of the description and have the checklists appear properly as completed or not.
A greeEAAT fix would be to represent the current state of the checklist items AND make them interactive so you can mark items as completed from Teams.
