It would be great if square brackets could be added to the list of supported special characters in labels.

Brackets are often used in label prefixes like [Type] Bug, [Size] S, [Feature] Labels, etc.

Yup, same - such as Bug (low) also cant be subscribed

I also came across this problem. It makes the subscribe feature unusable in some circumstances.

Same problem when actor names have brackets, for example, the github-merge-queue[bot]
