Allow removal of "Read access to code" Permission #1695

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Slack integration requires read code access. I understand this access is needed for some features, but we cannot allow reading access and don't need these features. Instead, we want to use this integration for notifications.

Describe the solution you'd like Dynamically request features permissions or add option to disable undeeded features and permissions.

Additional context This feature request is reopen from 2018.

@bkeepers following up on the statement from 2018:

We have a feature request in to the GitHub Apps team to allow the app to dynamically request permissions and let you decide which permissions you're comfortable with.

Any news on this in 2023? Can you link the request if it's in public space?
