From @zpeng1898 After adding shutdown() of estimator, the errors are eliminated.
I encountered the same issue when I run python tf_train_xshards.py --data_dir /local/path/to/NCF --cluster_mode local
with backend="ray"
on my laptop, and it was caused by the directories train_processed_xshards
and test_processed_xshards
which already existed in /local/path/to/NCF
. The error disappeared after removing the two directories.
So the issue seems has nothing to do with estimator.shutdown()
, because I test it again with and without estimator.shutdown()
, both run normally without any error.
