The openembedded core layers' master branches switched from hardknott to honister (Yocto 3.4) .
Yocto 3.4 has a significant syntax change with the deliminator for overrides changing from '_' to ':'. see: http://docs.yoctoproject.org/migration-guides/migration-3.4.html#override-syntax-changes
hardnott removed from LAYERSERIES_COMPAT since it use the older syntax.
