Definitely. Just switch to vanilla (v4.12+) which has most of the parts supported for Edison.

Also consider Yocto based distro https://github.com/htot/meta-intel-edison cooked by @htot.

@fenrus75, Can you pull a string and somehow move this forward. I would archive it and recommend people to use https://github.com/edison-fw/meta-intel-edison one, however unofficial.

@rzr Actually that one is outdated. We agreed with @htot that he will use vanilla + selected patches directly in Yocto recipe. If I'm not mistaken it's here: https://github.com/edison-fw/meta-intel-edison/blob/master/meta-intel-edison-bsp/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-yocto_5.6.0.bb
