I don't know, if You know about It, but Audacity will be updated to 3.6.0 on 27th may 2024 I think. Please, could You update Your plugins, when Audacity will be updated? Thank You. Marco

Thanks for the heads up! Where did you hear that, out of curiosity? I'm on both Audacity & Audacity-dev Discord channels, and I didn't see it posted anywhere there.

It was on Audacity translation's mailing list. I translate Audacity to Slovak language.

Seems also there is a new version of whisper out (1.6) which promises improved performance. I don't know the relation between this plugin and whisper but would it be easy to include the update into any upcoming package?

Giovani93 commented 1 month ago

It'll be good to update It, but also to fix bug in music separation, which I've mentioned in different issue. But It depends on You. Ofcourse, Audacity will be updated on 27th may 2024. Maybe You'll be soon informed.

Hi @Giovani93, @The3IC,

Yes, both of these fixes / improvements that you mention have already been merged into the source code of this repo. The next patch release (v3.5.1-R2.2) will include these.. I'm expecting to post it on Monday.

And yes, I will start preparing changes required to support upcoming Audacity 3.6.0. I have some work to do here, as it looks like I'll need to refactor some things.

Regards, Ryan

I left a separate post yesterday, an issue/question if there is possibly a development of an Audacity plus-in for MacOS? I have tried the 3 work arounds, including running a virtual Windows desktop on my MacBook Pro, and it is always problematic. I own DMP Pro for separations, but having the capability of Audacity being able to separate instruments itself would be a great help and offer additonal and possibly different separations would be awesome! Any input from Audacity would be helpful. Thx!

Hi @jschubert6,

Development / support of this plugin for MacOS will need to come from the community -- for example, the great work that @eukarpov is doing. We're a very small team of developers that maintain this project, and don't have access to Mac setups for development / testing purposes.

Thanks, Ryan

Thanks and I understand completely. I will reach out to that person and a general message to the community. Appreciate all your work and updates, and your response Ryan!
