1.2 got released and still no Vulkan-backend support. Pretty disappointing.

+1 ... I was exited to finally see an update again. unfortunately version 1.3 still doesn't run on Vulkan it seems?

it's a shame, because it's the one thing that makes it inferior to FSR atm. Otherwise, I prefer XeSS over FSR. why?

Because, unlike with FSR, if a game had XeSS built in, you can simply "upgrade" to newer versions yourself by switching *.dll files.

You often want to do so, because many Publishers & Developers release games and then afterwards stop releasing updates / patches after a short while. That's why for many games, even on AMD cards & older Nvidia gpus that dont have DLSS, XeSS (if you pick newer versions) is superiour, image quality&stability-wise over (especially older) versions of FSR, even when run thru dp4a path.

BUT, XeSS has that one flaw: limited to DX12 . and that's a bummer.
