systemctl restart redeem takes too long to stop things #137

From the time that the kill is issued, it takes over a minute before all of the threads are terminated.

Should be fixed in the RC after the threading patches from @ThatWileyGuy .

I suspect that this may still be an issue in the current status of RC. To address the issue, both @ThatWileyGuy and I have created, and locally tested, additional modifications that have not been incorporated into RC. My preview of @ThatWileyGuy's version is the one that I feel to be a better permanent solution.
